I started working for Pearson Chevrolet in 1985 when along came Ron Carter and I became part of the Ron Carter Family. I have been working in vehicle sales at this location for 24 years. I have seen several employees come and leave and come back again because they know working conditions are the best here at Ron Carter. We are one big happy family, receive great pay and we have the best managers you can find anywhere. Making my customers happy is rewarding and working at Ron Carter is rewarding. I love my job. WHY I LOVE WORKING AT RON CARTER   First of all, it would have to be the people.  I have worked at four other dealerships since 1989 and there is no comparison to the employees here at Ron Carter.  They are much friendlier and willing to help if there is a problem.  I have never seen a dealership come together as a team like I have seen here.  Examples are the death of Alvin soldier Timothy Cunningham when we lined Bypass 35 for over an hour in the hot sun or the wonderful response of the Share-A-Toy and food drive of 2007 and then there was Hurricane Ike…wow…when I came into work on the Monday after the storm, I was so surprised to see so many people here willing to help move vehicles and pick up.  I worked at another dealership during Tropical Storm Allison, and we could only find a few people that would brave the heat and help us check the inventory for damage. Ron Carter is the most employee oriented place that I have ever worked.  I have never seen a place that actually pats their employees on the back for a job well done.   Darla Martin
